Purim celebrations at The Fed this year began as usual with a wonderful megillah reading in the Heathlands Village Shul. Led by Chazan Chaim Rose, the combination of the traditional megillah tune together with other Jewish songs from throughout the year had the full house of residents, relatives and visitors smiling and singing along.

On Purim afternoon, the Memorial Hall was decked out fit for a King, and as the party got underway, some residents couldn’t help but get up and dance – as well as  staff too! Visitors came to join in the fun, including pupils from local schools and Chabad Lubavitch of Manchester.

Jennifer Berger, Deputy Manager of The Fed’s Activity Centre, said “This is a wonderful, fun time of year that allows residents to really let their hair down and get into the spirit of the day!”
